On September 14th and 15th, Join artist and educator Sara Mulder for a two-day workshop designed to help artists create expressive, light-filled FLORAL WATERCOLOR paintings with confidence. Sara combines strong design principles, thoughtful color choices, and fresh, spontaneous techniques to demonstrate how to simplify complex subjects while capturing mood and atmosphere.

About the Instructor

Sara Mulder is a Sioux Falls, South Dakota, artist whose vibrant paintings celebrate the beauty of the Midwest through expressive landscapes, florals, and still lifes. Working with rich color and energetic brushwork, she blends realism with an impressionistic approach, creating paintings that balance careful observation with loose, confident marks.

A graduate of Dordt University with degrees in Fine Art and Education, Sara has spent more than two decades sharing her passion for art as an educator while building a successful professional painting career. Her engaging teaching style encourages artists to strengthen their technical skills, simplify what they see, and paint with greater confidence and personal expression.

Throughout the workshop, Sara will share the design principles, color strategies, and techniques she uses to create luminous, expressive paintings while offering individual guidance to help each participant grow in their own artistic journey.
