February’s Paint-In: Stretching Paper
Ever wondered how to stretch watercolor paper? Stretching watercolor paper prevents buckling by pre-swelling and shrinking it on a rigid board using water and tape/staples, making it taut and flat for painting. GPWS Member Nancy Warnock will demonstrate just how to do this! After giving her tips and tricks for stretching paper, Nancy will demonstrate how to paint on wet and damp paper for special effects and how to etch lines on wet paper.
Stretching paper is for demonstration only. No supplies necessary! Bring watercolor paints, brushes and paper to try the special effects on wet paper for yourself. No pre-registration required. Open to the public.
