Bonnie Brahms has invited us to her studio near Humboldt for a morning to “Feel free to roam!” to sketch, paint, and learn in her garden. You can enjoy some Plein Air time before Bonnie shares an art technique, using watercolor as a base with pastel as a garnish to finish your artwork.
Supply List
- Watercolor Supplies; paint brushes, paper towels, etc.
- watercolor paper
- Pastels, only if you have them available in your stash of supplies
DIRECTIONS TO BONNIE’S HOME NEAR HUMBOLDT
Take I-90 to Humboldt EXIT, turn left. Drive south approximately one mile to 259th, a gravel road on the right side of the highway. Take gravel 1 and 1/2 miles and Bonnie’s home will be on the right side. Look for a big building and a LONG driveway as well as bales along the fence line.
Her name is on the big mailbox at the end of the driveway.
